Input on new intake

My engine info is in my sig.......I'm running a long rod 383ci so low end torque is no problem....Forged crank and rods so 6500-7000 RPM attainable with solid roller camand big springs....CompCams 280 Extreme solid roller cam, 236/236 duration .550/.550 lift...I am running AFR 190's so not being able to flow at at high RPM is not a problem....2500 stall.....3.70 gears......1 3/4" headers with hi-flow exhaust.......
I want more power when the pedal is on the floor
I am beginning to agree with Jester......my "Edelcrap" RPM AirGap is not doing it for me, besides, the QC sucked and the runners did not match my heads and I know the air/fuel charge is separating at the head due to uneven surface (i.e. head surface and runner surfaces don't match and port matching would not work unless I did one side of intake, and one side of cylinder head.
What is y'alls opinions?

Thats a classic Edelcrock problem for some reason, I've heard it alot. They don't seem to even check thier manifolds for core shift before they ship them. Or not care.

The 8016 is a very good manifold. I'm not as fond of the 7546 and 7547, but I do think you should go single plane. Enter my vote for a 7530 Team G.

FWIW, I just put a 7530 on a pair of AFR 190s and the port match was just about perfect.

Car: 1986 Sport Coupé
Engine: 305-4v
Transmission: 700R4 and TransGo2
Core shift, is this a recent problem with Edelbrock's?

I have a used Performer (paid $125 Canadian) and it lined up fine on the 305.

I can't say there has been a huge difference between it and the stock intake but I think the engine is really wanting a cam before waking up entirely. The headers also seemed like a small difference, they just seemed to make the 305 climb a hill effortlessly compared to the stock exhaust. As far as I can see, it is the combo of the 3 mods which finally makes it feel high performance.

I have heard problems with the RPM AirGaps that were produced a while back. I bought mine right after they were released (it just took awhile to put it together), so I wonder if they were having issues getting the process right.

Try a Weiand Street Ram #7525 with as much carb spacer is you can fit. U'll need to experiment with divider plates to see what your car perfers.

This manifold is known for it's good low end and great
top end power.
You can block off the egr.

Read about how David Vizard used this manifold on a winning
combination that you already have all the other parts for.

Engine combination #8 in "How to build Max performance
Chev small blocks on a Budget" By David Vizard.
