The dangers of mixing and matching Qjet parts...

In case anyone asks... no, you can't swap an E4ME base plate onto an M4MC carb.

I just diagnosed a car getting 15mpg on the highway with an overdrive trans, and that turned out to be the problem. The E4ME baseplate doesn't have a hole to allow vacuum to get to the power piston, so the primaries run on full enrichment all the time.

No wonder Qjets have a lousy reputation...

Thats almost as good as people that run a holley, blame the carb for the 4mpg and never check the power valve.
