87 tpi going to carb

HI this is my first post on this board, I own an 87 corvette, i know its not an f-body but theres barely any info on doin the tpi to carb swap on any vette boards, and if i ask about it , i get yelled at. lol

Basically i bought this 87 corvette, I am having so many problem with the tpi, Bad ecu, leaking injectors, bad maf, rotting harness I decided on going carb and ditching my aging tpi.

Ive decided upon my carb and intake mani, but im still considering how im going to do the fuel.

Im thinking of running a holley electric pump, I have no experience with inline pumps.

Basically the pump would go inbetween the carb and the fuel line? Can i leave the intank pump in place and disconected? Anyone know what kind of fittings are needed to adapt the oem fuel line to the holley pump, then the pump to my carb? anyone have pics of a setup like this?

Welcome aboard.

This sticky https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=101977 has a link with the basics of the swap.

I wouldn't recommend leaving the in-tank in and disabled. Your add-on pump may be able to suck through the dead pump, but it certainly will restrict flow. The only question is whether you'll need more than can be sucked.

Many have done the in-line electric. Have you searched the forum for that info?

Are you going to be able to pass emissions testing with this federally-illegal change?

ive tried searching, soo meany threads most of which have no info on actually setting up the pump.

I may be leaning towards the mallory 3port regualtor on the stock pump, but from searching ive seen so many mixed oppinions.

can the fuel pressure regulator be removed
from the TPI stuff?

if so, you should consider using that regulator,
to feed a low pressure regulator for a carb,
Holley 12-804, or something similiar.
$26, from Jegs

some plumbing will be needed, the outlet
of the TPI regulator will be 45 psi, or so,
be careful.
