ZZ4 intake manifold

What is the physical difference between the GM ZZ4 intake and a Edelbrock performer?

Carb flange height???

intake runners ???
plenum volume/shape????

It doesn't look like there are any significant differences. Kind of a surprise, I guess, for everyone running the ZZ4 intake.

The vacuum port on the rear runner is farther away from the carb flange on the GMPP manifold, making it easier to clear the Holley fuel bowl. That and the rear coolant passage tap on the GMPP are about all I can see from the top view.

Of course, this is a little apples-&-oranges since the Performer isn't the EGR version. For the originator of that thread, that was fine.

And, subtle changes in runner routing/sizing that can't be seen in that pic could be significant.
