Vaccum problems
Just thought i would ask a quick question About the vaccum lines going to the carb, since i have a few that seem to not have anything to hook to. Im running a stock q-jet by the way.
1. theres a vaccum line on back of the carb, near the top. I cant find anything that goes to it, or remember, so i was wondering if anyone could tell me.
2. There is a small vaccum opening on the front of the carb, near the driver side, witch i am having the same problem with, again, any help would be awesome.
3. This is gonna sound kinda dumb, the thing that hooks to the front of the carb, and sits right above the water pump. There are 2 vaccum ports near the top of that which also dont have a tube to calll their own.
Last, The vaccum port thing on the thermostat housing, which tube goews ther?? I thinkn one of them goes back to the butterfly valve on the exhaust, but the other one is stillo open.
Ivwe searched all over this site and otehrs and cant find ann anser to tese questions, so if anyone could help me i would be able to drive my car sooner! YAY!

Well, let's start here https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=257699 assuming we're talking about a US computer controlled carb.
Now, your #1 sounds a bit weird. I've seen that on hot air style chokes, but never on CC carbs. At any rate, it isn't used for anything but the hot air choke, but there may be something I don't know (figure the odds).
The rest should be answered by the diagram. You probably don't have a dual snorkel air cleaner, so you can ignore the 2nd snorkel in the diagram (it's otherwise the same as a single snorkel).
