help with edelbrock 600 cfm
im driving an 88 camaro, with a 350 in it. I turned it all over to carb, no computer. im trying to find both a good ignition timing as well as a carb adjustment. any one with any ideas

and switch over to a 4 pin module in dizzy.
become a normal vacuum, spring advance.

sorry misunderstood the remark. what does dizzy mean, im not a total gear head im just a weekender right now any guess on the timing advance

the distrib has no provision for anything other than full Mechanical advance?
springs is the only thing you can do.
Set the base and that's about all you can do.
Otherwise you can go with any vacuum advance HEI type from any 80's GM. Then you could tune the vacuum and spring (rpm based) advance curves.
Just try to fone one that has a 4 pin module, easiest to hook up, run a ignition hot to the red wire on the coil plug and your firing.

I had to post on this.... its hard to believe that I wrote that. Now I have a Carb'd 350 that is in pieces in my garage as I start to do a motor rebuild its crazy now things have changed for me over the years.
