Stock fuel filter good enough

OK, I'm finally getting around to running my fuel lines. I mounted my holley blue fuel pump near the rear axle where the fuels lines come out from the tank. I plan on using a stock 92 camaro fuel filter screwed onto the outlet of the fuel line and then cut off a fitting for the other side of the filter and rubber hose it to the inlet of the holley. Does this sound ok? Any Ideas.
