Edelbrock dual quad?

How would this setup perform? Do you or do you know anyone running them? I am toying around with the idea of putting them on my 350, I have a crane cam 282 H06, 9.5 to 1 compression, vortech heads with 2.02 valves, 700r4 and 373:1 posi...right now I am running a 800cfm quadrajet but I am looking for alittle wow factor when I open my hood but I dont want to give up any performance.

Appearance is the only reason anyone would run one of those things.

Re: Edelbrock dual quad?

But how would it stack up against my quadrajet? 2 500cfm edelbrocks should flow 1000cfm correct? I am also thinking of upgrading to a bigger cam and a 4500 stall converter, I have a 3500 right now with a trans brake and the whole nine yards. Would the extra 200cfm benefit me at say 5500 or 6500 rpm? or would I be better of going to something like a holley dominator? I would like to be able to drive this car to weekend street races and other events.

Re: Edelbrock dual quad?

You don't have nearly enough cam or heads to need that much carb. Even if you did, a Dominator would be a much better idea.

Re: Edelbrock dual quad?

i think your 800cfm is a little too big for your setup right now..a 350 should be good with a 600-750 depending on mods
