Who wants to see my awesome custom intake!?!?
Hey, i finished up my custom dual CAI a little while back and just got around to taking some pics and thought maybe some people would like to see and get some ideas or inspiration from it
Here she is:
the air cleaner^ not totally finished and smoothed out, but functional.
with piping
The piping is 2.5" and goes in front of the radiator. So all that positive cold air pressure from the radiator scoop dam thing underneath the car gets rammed up into the intake. I may make it hook up behind the fog lamps soon. That'd be ram air.

Looks good, but isn't too far off from the stock dual inlet carb'd intakes.

This intake has better access to cool air and is dual 2.5" piping all the way to the cleaner which means a much better air velocity. And although max air velocity is more for high revving engines, at least it'll help a little haha.
R!CER PHYSICS 101^ hahaha

Perfect job, certainly better than factory.
My Q is about that three-point bracket. If you hadn't removed the A.C. return line, would it still fit?
Happy New Year.

Even though it's similar to the dual snorkel, I think the chrome tubes look way more aggressive. Good job

No the edelbrock TBI strut tower brace is designed to fit the 88-92 camaros or something, the years where the A/C compressor is on the passenger side. I'm pretty sure that the brace would hit the top of the compressor on older camaros. Makes an amazing difference in handling and is totally worth taking your A/C out in my opinion. You could maybe modifiy it to fit over the compressor if you wanted.

i really do love that. im def doing that to my car. urgh everytime i come to this site (every other hour) i see somehting else i wanna do to my car. i think i have like 2 or 3 pages of stuff i wanna do and absolutely NO MONEY!! gahh lol. this looks like something i can do though for very cheap. (free) its great having a father in the metal business. free metal/tubing/piping anything i need. but seriously, it looks great. i wanna pop out the fog lights and run it through there though. think itll def push some more air to that engine.

Hey, not to de-rail the thread, but do you still have the flexible ducts for the dual snorkel setup? I've been looking for some in good condition for a while, it would be great if you could hook me up.

Re: Who wants to see my awesome custom intake!?!?
The only reason you would need both sides is because your car has a dual snorkle intake. Which means that your car is a high output. Which means that my ducks will not fit your car. The LG4 intake and L69 intake(s) are slightly different.
