carb tv cable connection 87 Z28

The beast has a 1970 model quadrajet from an Eldorado Caddy on it. The tv cable is looped around the pin on the bellcrank and fastened with a cable tie. I recently pulled a computer quadrajet off a 1985 Cutlass hoping to remove the throttle shaft and installing it in the 1970 q-jet. If that doesn't cooperate - plan B would be removing the bell crank from the Cutlass throttle shaft and installing it on the Caddy carb to get the right bellcrank to tv cable geometry. Can the bellcrank be removed from the throttle shaft without making it Frankenstein?

No. It's mashed on the end and welded.

Also, the throttle shaft from a later carb won't work in the earlier divorced choke element QJets like your 1970 model.

The 1970 q-jet did not have the choke assembly installed so the throttle shafts were swapped and worked according to plan A.
