tuning??

I have a edelbrock 600cfm carb model 1406, i rebuilt the carb the other day and then try to tune it once on the car. Im having a little trouble, the car runs just a little rich when warm and idling at 800-900 rpm but when you give it some gas it blow smoke out the exhaust. Anybody know what my problem might be?

Re: tuning??

Have you checked the floats? They may be too high. Have you changed your timing?

When you rebuilt the carb did you change the needles in the float? You probably should pop the screw out of the side of the floats and check the level. If gas poors out the side of the inspection ports for the float, you need to adjust the float height on the primaries.
