someone wanna help with fuel lines?? And wiring
Ok so i got a return style regulator... it has spots on both sides and 1 on the bottom for fuel lines. Im guessing the sides are in/out and bottom is return. They are the same size as the stock fuel line fittings witch im guessing are 3/8's if I remember correctly.
What fittings/ adapters and what kind of hose do i need to make this work. Im pretty much clueless on what fittings are called and stuff. Ill be running a rubber hose from the regulator to the carb (quadrajet) with clamps. But as far as running from the cars lines to the regulator im kinda stumped... Im sure its really really simple but I dont wanna F it up...
And witch lines is the feedline on the car? There are 2 side by side (obviously) on the driverside framerail...
Last question, I was told i can run all the stock guages (except maybe the speedo) with the stock wiring harness if i leave the computer inplace. So what in the world do i do with all these extra wires?!?!? it looks like complete *** under the hood right now.
I thought the entire engine harness was able to be removed but it seems to me like its connected to to the rest of the wiring in the car.
any help would be great.
thanks

Regulator - more than likely you are correct - side holes are in/out, bottom is return.
Hose - you want Fuel Injection hose at least BEFORE the regulator - it has "fuel injection" printed on the side of it - and it'll cost $3.50 a foot instead of $1 a foot.
Fittings - I can't remember exactly what I got (whether NPT or what). What I did was Just cut the rubber lines already in the car (mine was a TBI so it had existing rubber lines from framerail), then I got fittings from local hardware store in brass, matching the regulator threads with a 3/8 hose barb for the feed line. Same with the return line, however the return line is 5/16 (smaller) and thus need a fitting for the regulator that has a 5/16 hose barb. Then, 3/8 hose barb fitting into other end of regulator, and hose to carb.
And yes - feed line is 3/8 (larger one), return is 5/16 (smaller one). There's also a third line that is smaller that runs to the evap canister.
You have a GTA - digital dash? I have no clue on the digital dash, I know in my 1992 RS every guage works with NO ECM at all - that sucka was yanked out years ago!
You should be able to take all wiring from the pass side engine bay and delete it. BUT - I covered my butt - I simply tucked it all in the fenderwell out of sight. This was originally so I could make sure I didn't cut out anything necessary - later it became a great asset, since now I have alot of existing wires from the cabin to the engine bay that I can use for things like manual fan switches, fog lights, underhood lighting, whatever. There's a ton of room to tuck it away sight unseen until needed.

Re: someone wanna help with fuel lines?? And wiring
ill see what I can do. These fittings and things suck...
And as far as the wiring harness goes. The starter wires and the sensor wires/alternator wires are conected to the wires i dont need. So I have all this extra crap load of wires hanging there.
thanks for your help!
