vapor line from fuel tank to evap canister
ok, years ago I pulled my old 305 4 bbl , decomputized the engine and went with a edlebrock 650 and distributor with vac. advance. I pulled all the emissions stuff and the last thing I just recently pulled was the evap canister that sits opposite from the battery tray on the drivers side. there is a metal line with a rubber hose on the end that went to the evap canister. Is it ok to put a block off on the end of it? I didnt know if it might interfere with my tank pressure.

Don't block it off, tank pressure will build and gas will blow by your needle valves and flood your carb. I just went though this, what I did was put a vacuum plug at the end of the metal line and poked 4 holes in it with a large paperclip, seems to give me the right amount of tank pressure without flooding my carb. 1 hole wasn't enough.
