hes a bullsh** artist....you should have researched his name before giving him your money. Hopefully he pulls through and you get what you paid for, expect excuses in the meantime.

Well - I too have been scammed by cam91rs1. Hopefully we can warn others, met him several times in CT when I lived there - but something has changed and he can no longer be trusted. Do not spend your money with him - go elsewhere.

UPS includes it. Here is from the USPS site:
USPS offers delivery confirmation on the following types of mail:
First-Class Mail parcels, Priority Mail, Parcel Post parcels, Media Mail parcels, Bound Printed Matter parcels, Library Mail parcels, standard mail parcels less than 16 ounces, and parcel select parcels.

Delivery confirmation allows you to see the date, zip code, and time that your item was delivered. The current rates for delivery confirmation are $0.65-$0.75. On May 11, 2009 the rates will increase and will be between $0.70-$0.80.

One thing to remember about delivery confirmation is that it means that it was delivered to the mailing address the package was shipped to. However, they will leave the package on a doorstop, in the mailbox, etc unless you require a signature, so it's possible that the person you shipped the package to does not receive the package even if it was delivered to their address (could be stolen, misplaced, etc).

Looks like with all these "Lost Packages" it would be a wise investment.

Re: cam91rs1

delivery confirmation is different that a tracking number. EVERY shipment has a tracking number, UPS, FEDex, USPS, Pablo's Donkey express, ect ect delivery confirmation is optional and usually has an etra fee of a few pennies.

I cant believe people still deal with this guy.

Since everyone else is asking where there stuff is, I paid for a steering wheel on july 28th, and asked repeatedly if he sent. Maybe since he is trying to do damage control on this thread he can tell me where my steering wheel is as well.

If you paid with pay pal please go to the resolution center and report this guy.
In the notes This is exactly what i wrote.

"Seller claimed to have the car part I needed so I paypaled $45 to him. I was out of town for a week and when I come back I had no new messages, and no package. I contacted him and he claimed to have shipped it but wouldnt give a tracking number. I searched his name and I am not the only one that has got screwed by this guy!! Here is a link to a few people that got ripped off too.
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/cl...-cam91rs1.html (cam91rs1)
Thanks for your help.
I know $45 isnt much, but just knowing this guy has won so far really pisses me off!"

Re: cam91rs1

I have had two experiences with this guy. As per the last one I will no longer do business. The first experience I purchased Aluminum Drum, he sent pics said they were good to go. Sent payment, recieved product and cut nd put on my car.
The second set was for Aluminum drums also. He told me they were able to be cut... they were no where near being able to be cut. they had clear lining wear to the point where they broke away from the aluminum.

One thing I do have to say is that he offered a refund, for the price of shipping it wasnt worth me sending them back to him for a refund, nor do I want to see these things being sold to someone else.
I never had a problem recieving the products like you guys but I was pissed he knowingly sent out a product I couldnt use and told me I could.
Here are pictures of the drums I recieved and were not able to use.

not to be harsh here...but your an idiot everything shipped through ups, usps, and fed ex has a TRACKING number. by not getting this number for yourself or the person you are sending it to is it protects you and the buyer. it will show if the package 1. was shipped 2. was delivered...if it dissapears after delivery then your off the hook and its the buyer and post offices issue

you would think having all the problems that you mysteriously have you would take the time to protect yourself and the buyer....but if your not sending the parts(which seems to be the case) why would you need to

just my

Re: cam91rs1

Cam, email me a copy of this receipt. If you did it via the post office, you should have some physical receipt and information. If you sent it out at home, via USPS online, you should have email of the information that you can forward to me.

Thanks.

Re: cam91rs1

With your history here - you neglected to pay the extra $2 for a tracking slip from the Post Office ??

If you have a slip from the Post office and it's not a tracking slip ,.... then it's probably an insurance slip. When dealing with a non-delivery you must wait 30 days from the date of shipping to file a claim. The post office will use the numbers on the insurance slip to investigate the claim. They check with the sending and accepting post offices to verify all claims.

In the meantime - proper edicat is for the seller to make things right for the buyer. Replacement parts can be shipped out or a refund granted. All you have to do is look into filing the claim first to be sure that you have all the info / signatures before any additional parts are shipping or any refund is made.

Just saying;

Overall, I agree with most of your statements. The seller is responsible for making sure the item is received by the buyer. The sender usually has to file a claim with the shipping agent to get things moving.

I will agree that this appears to be a trend that may have gone a bit too long. But what I don't understand is why, for all the vocal complaints, cam91rs1 has only a total of 4 negative on his iTrader out of 43 total ratings? Either there's a lot of vocal complaints that aren't using the system properly, or some just making complaints against cam91rs1 - despite they hadn't any direct dealings with them - or?

Someone once made the argument that Cam91rs1 has a lot of new, or low post count, members leaving feedback and thus hinted it's Cam91rs1 boosting his rank. Looking at random examples, I see several that are active accounts with several posts. It is that type of speculation that fuels problems. With all the public speculation/claims, some jumping in to post about Cam91rs1 (while some not having any direct experience with him), and some of the posts by members who had a bad transaction with Cam91rs1 (which is understandable), it's sometimes appears the issue may be blown out of proportion. When someone posts a positive experience of Cam91rs1 in this section, it's usually quickly followed by speculation (questioning if the poster is Cam91rs1 using another account) or complaints. It's not uncommon for when one person feels scammed/ripped, they make a lot of vocal feedback over the subject while those who had a positive experience may never really be heard. It appears to me that when people are scammed/ripped, or feel they are, they are more likely to post about it, multiple times, while those who had a positive experience may make one comment about it and that's it.

Ideally, I'd like someone to assist with some of these Classifieds issues, along with a few rule updates, but I don't believe anyone has really stepped up to the plate or really made much offers. I usually leave my email (jt@thirdgen.org) or link to PM me (http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/pr...o=newpm&u=8676) for those who wish to say something not public or offer assistance or advise in these manners, but usually, my PM and email make cricket sounds when it pertains to this specific area.

Hey John, since you frequent this section and are familiar with what goes on around this section, and you speak up on these issues, if you want to step up and help out in the Classifieds (specifically complaints) - let me know!

43 positives don't negate the complaints though... It's part of the business too, the customer is always right. He should be refunding money or protecting himself with tracking and insurance.

I'd be glad to help watch over this section if he's not interested... I read through them all the time

I've sold lots of stuff on here and have zero feedback as well... But no complaints

Most people don't know how to use it, and won't learn till they are scammed

Re: cam91rs1

You are correct that X amount of positives don't exactly negate the negatives and that was not the message I was sending. However, in life, you will never please all the people. You'll likely run into people you cannot please, have higher expectations or try to win something for nothing. Just as there are "scammer" sellers, there are "scammer" buyers (chargebacks, for example).

When you bring different people together, it's not always going to be all peace and seeing eye to eye. Even some of the best sellers may not be able to win over a buyer who is set. I'm not stating that is the explanation for those 4 of the 43, but it's life and people are different.

It appears to me that when someone feels they were scammed, they may make their voices X times as heard as those who feel they had a smooth transaction, which can change the perception.

As I admitted, I think this particular case may have gone on just a bit too long. In addition, Cam91rs1 still has not emailed me the proof of the shipment for this individual case.

I agree jt, I deal with it everyday. You can tell when a seller does his part and I do not feel this has been done. That's why so many options are out there to protect sellers and buyers. They even protect me in some cases...

He prob won't email you..
