Got some progress done on the vert tonite.

It was downhill from last year.
Oct of last year I went to the racetrack and hotlapped it. Got a lifter tick. Over the winter I replaced the lifters. Then I couldnt get it to start (turned out to be a bad dizzy). Anyways, after all the times of turning it over gas was just building up in the cylinders and would leak past the rings into the oil pan. Finally got it running then it wouldnt rev. I checked the oil and it was way over. I emptied the oil and it was like water. Took a sample and put a lighter next to it, and lets just say boom. From that I spun the bearing.

I just got around to pulling it today with a buddy (the guy in the first pic). I want to just get it running, as its my nice weather car to just cruise in, but its gonna be hard to not do some mods. If I do do some mods, I am going all out.

Heads, cam, intake. Im thinking of using the SB-Chevy S/R Torquer Cast Iron Cylinder Heads (~750 for the pair), throw in an LT4 hotcam (~200) (.525/.525 lift will make it sounds nice) and use a Victor Junior fuel injected manifold with a 4bbl throttlebody(~400 for the intake and another 400 for the TB). As you can see (or not) it already has LS1 Injectors, SLP Headers, SLP Y pipe, Random Tech Cat, Hooker Aerochamber CB.

So I might be rebuilding it stock, or I might be rebuilding it for a cost of around 1700 (plus the price to fix whats wrong). Itd probably be pretty beast with thoes mods.

Oh yeah. As you can see I dont have any hard lines from the tranny to what is normally the cooler. They were a bitch to get to, so I just snapped em off.

It don't matter. What matters is a smile on your face. Carcus or pristine it does not matter, it is all an addiction. I have an lt1 for my IROC but it and the t56 may end up in a 91 6 vert that will never be worth more than my pleasure.

Big q is finding another t56 cause my ORIC will need one. Thinke Nike and just do it.

I got the engine all disassembeled. I spun 1 rod bearing. 2 pistons rings were broke. 2 pistons had skirts gone. Put in the rotating assembly 2 nights ago. Now I just gotta do the heads, intake, oil pump and oil pan
