If you guys notice the parking job wasn't that hot. I am sure it took alot of rubbing, and alot of small turns, and alot of backing up and forward to get into that posistion.

Man, with all that ground clearance you could put whatever exhaust system under there and not have a single problem!

ground clearance would be the only reason I would put 18s-20s on my ride. I mean anything larger that isnt tastefullu done, just breaks the sanctimonious bond between 3rd gen driver and their ride.

Mr. IROC-Z, how big are your rims? They are the perfect size for your car! Is it lowered at all?

LMFAO!!! Read what someone wrote about it on the ebay auction "question and answer"
" Q: Thank you - I had been searching for the ugliest Camaro I could fine on EBay - and there your's is!
Jan-20-07
A: You just dont have any taste. But since you found what you were looking for please dont hesitate to bid! "
But it did get $6k...so not bad...hopefully the new owner will restore the car to it former beauty.

Gotta admit...Buy it for $6k, sell the wheels & tires for $2k, buy some REAL wheels & tires (might already have an extra set), and you've got a $4k 'vert! Reasonable, if the car is in good shape otherwise, and a TPI. If the wheels & tires are in good shape, they should be easy to sell, unfortunately.
I just looked over the eBay ad...With that VIN, it's a TBI car, of course it's a 305 (being a vert, unless it was swapped)...Too much for that car after all...Nice stereo, I guess, but still...

You know what I noticed about those wheels...other than they induce vomit?
They really make the car look like a top-chopped car, they make the windows look TINY.

how could someone do that to that car. they definatly have no taste and have no idea when something is to much. who would buy that for 6k, i know with those rims i wouldn't buy it. my car has a bad paint job and if i parked next to that thing it would make my car look pretty good, so i guess it would be useful for something.

Re: 22" rims on a 89 vert....
When you say extensive lowering...is that more than just aftermarket springs that lower 1-2"?
We just bought 18x8" American Racing Iroc Chrome Replica Rims and BF Goodrich KDW2 245/18/40 and weren't sure if we could lower it (thought it would rub on corners et. al). Haven't put the wheels on yet...car is being painted right now. I am afraid there is going to be a big gap between the tire and fender well. Would I have to do any other mods if I just lowered a little - 1-2"? Not sure I want it as low as yours but I don't want it to look like she is on stilts.
Thanks for your help!

That being said, I ordered Global West 800lb springs for the front and 160lb springs in the rear. I then started cutting coils until I got the stance I wanted. The heavy duty springs allow for a firm ride yet forgiveable ride, but they don't let the car bottom out.
Also, I noticed that you went with 40 series tires. In my opinion, you should have gotten a 45 series tire. The bigger sidewall fills in the wheels wells nicer.

18" wheels are now on. I think you were right on the 45 series. I think it could be lowered a little to snug them up. Thoughts?

wheels, tires, and car look great, but the 4x4 stance has to go. 2" springs and you're golden.
