They did great work on the Sub Frame Connectors and Torque install.
I was looking at the Spohn (outside) and the Alston (inside) apx 400+ freight then need to get them welded in. quote for that was over $250. Then would have had to had Toque arm installed. They did a custom set and installed it all for under $800. to them. Everything is painted capped, and Finished.
Thanks Guys for the awesome job,
Fred

I'm thinking about getting another set of sfc's like you did. I already have the Alstons, maybe I'll look into getting the Spohn's as well. Did you have to do any trimming to the frame to get those Spohn's to fit?

What's your experience with the "before & after" regards to the ride and handling?
It makes a ton of difference. It cut down on a lot of the rattling in the car, which is strange cause I thought it would get worse. The car goes where I point it. It rides like a Hard top. I did lose a little Ground Clearance. but over all I'm very Satisfied. only Negative I would say is the torque arm. Currently the car does make enough power to take advantage of it.. but when I put the car in gear. you have feel the Torque arm Loading up. and also a mild bump feeling. not bad I think it has to do with the Torque arm crossmember being tied to the Subframe now and not to the Transmission tail shaft.
no iterfcerence whatsoever with the alstons how much ground clearance did u lose? was it do to the alstons the sphon's ar the tourque arm setup u have? have my car jack up really high right now sure would be easy for me to put in the spohns
Cool, I'm getting the Spohn SFC's welded onto my car next Wednesday. I tore out the carpet and stuff today.....that was fun. Next, I'm putting an Auburn posi and 28 splines in the rear. I hate open diff.
Are SFC's really worth it? I've heard a lot of great things about them, improving handling a lot, but i've also heard they make the car ride a lot rougher. I've thought about getting SFC's, but im not going to be racing my RS, so if they'd hurt the ride cruising down the highway, I'd rather skip them.

My set is completely custom Modeled after the Spohn and the Alston Set with an S&W torque arm.
Spohn's has a set specifically designed for the convertible so they should just go in.
As for the torque arm... not sure... does anyone else have experience with these. Just is strange the hear it bump and feel it lifting against the Car. I'm assuming it will get used to it, After the Suspension rebuild and the LQ4/t56 drop in.

What are you're experiences regarding this?
It is a little stiffer but not to bad. the biggest benifit is that the car will not sag in the middle and mess with the door opening.
To my understanding, the Camaro is a Unibody so by design The Strength of the car is built into the Roof line if the car. The reason chevy put the factory connector in was the compensate the roof being removed on our convertibles. The factory ones are good but they are rivited in and those rivits strech and break over time. It is cheaper to have aftermarket ones installed rather then have the factory one re-rivited or welded in... and they will not be as strong.
But this how I understand this to function.

Hmm... I've noticed my driver door does have the LITTLEST sag. My passenger maybe too. I guess I'd really like to know if it's inevitable i'd need these (I plan to keep it forever!) And if I would need them, if it would be best for the car to get them on relatively asap. Maybe i'll post this question in the suspension board.

Besides door sag or misalignment (both could also be caused by shifted/worn hinges and/or hinge bushings), another place to look for frame stress from flex is the bottom corners of the door frames. These are high stress areas that can cause visible results such as cracking the paint or in extreme cases cracked paint and minor metal fatigue cracking.
More good reasons for subframe reinforcment.
