How to diagnose bad radiator/water pump?
My engine leaks coolant from the bottom left of the radiator. Is it busted and if so what caused this? Water pump not flushing enough of it through and the radiator gets overpressurized? Thermostat busted? temp gauge broken (which it is)? Since my fan motor shorted a few months ago it has been going crazy.
Please help if willing,

From what you stated I would first check the drain and make sure it is tight. Also inspect the hoses make sure they are not cracked and leaking. Next I would replace the cap they are cheap. Next is your fan running? I am guessing it isn't as you said it was shorted out, you need to get that running first. And On the water pump; start the engine while cold take off the cap and give the engine a little throttle and watch the water at the top. If it swirls, your pump is ok or at least doing its job.
