Can I weld.....
There is a tiny leak in my radiator near the top, only about 3 inches from the cap, and I was wondering if I can weld it. Someone told me I can't because the radiator isn't made of metal but some other material and welding will just make the hole bigger.

Depends what that part of the radiator is made of. For what it's worth, I would just go buy a new one. Autozone/Advanced Auto Parts/Pep Boys should have them new for around $100 - $130. I know that, for me, money doesn't grow on trees, but I would save the hassle of trying to rig it and just fix it right the first time, that way you don't have any more problems with the thing. If one hole is there (presumably from rust maybe??), who is to say that another one doesn't show up real soon? Save yourself the hassle and get a new one. But that's just my opinion of coarse!

There's no rust at all on my car. My cars black and I drove it on very hot days because it was my only car. Also my I had fan problems, so my radiator and engine were very hot most of the summer and I think a weak spot just burst. I'd rather just weld it if I can because it is just a tiny hole, but when the car gets hot, it leaks a lot.

The core is aluminum, the tanks are plastic. You can forget about welding the plastic, and if you knew how to weld aluminum, I'm guessing you would have already identified the radiator as such. Aluminum is NOT an easy thing to weld and you need to have that unique skill or you'll waste the radiator. But like Formula said, just get a new one. It's not like they're expensive.
