Broke sensor, not sure which one

I was putting my headders on a 88' IROC and i hit a sensor on the right side of my engine block. I took it off and it pissed out radiator fluid. I have looked at my GM book and a haynes book and both dont say anything. Was wondering if anybody knew what sensor it was. Oh, its not my coolant sensor either.

on the drivers side you have engine temp. sensor (gage overheat)

by the oil filter is the oil pressure switch.

then on the passengers side is the coolant fan switch
and the esc knock sensor.

so i am guessing since you said right side(drivers side) by the first 2 spark plugs it must be the engine temp.sensor

too hard to tell, i can't see you breaking tye temp switch for the guage because it's all metal. and just by putting on headers it must have been a big hit. if it is plastic its not the temp switch. if its all metal i would say the temp. switch although you must of hit it hard to bust it like that.

Well I assume right hand side means passenger. So if it is and it goes into the block, just above the oil pan rail, it is your knock sensor.

sorry i havent responded, but i have been pretty busy. But anyways, it had a plastic end on it where a single wire connected to it. I decided to take it off and anti-freeze poured out. So, im not sure what it is, but im going to look into my books again and see if i cant find what it is. Thanks to the reply's.

I believe that the know sensor does go into a cooling jacket but can't remember for sure.
