If you want to install the non AC (3 speed), Just do it the easy way!

1) Take your AC resistor out (the one that has the 5 wires) and put in on the Non AC box. That will give you full use of your old wiring harness with very little changes!

2) If you have the newer style with the rubber 2 prong connection: "Take the two wires (purple and black) that go to the rubber prong connection on the old AC blower and cut them back. You should leave at least a good inch or more from the rubber connection. That way if you ever wanted to go back soldering wouldn't be as hard."
Else if you have the older style that is the single rubber spade connection: "It should hook right up. If this happens hook up your ground to the blower plate, and you should be ready to go without any more cuts or splices."

3) Put a female spade connector on the large purple wire from the part you just clipped. The purple color wire is your power to the blower unit. So after you female spade it put it on the single prong (usually green color) connection on the non AC blower. (You may have to put a small extension wire on it to get it to reach, but it beats hacking up the full harness.)

4) The black wire will need a ring type connector put on it. Or you could just pinch it under one of the screws on the blower plate. Either way it needs to be grounded to your plate so you know it pulls a good ground source for the blower unit.

That's basically all you need to alter to get the non AC (3 speed) unit to work. You can even leave the relays in place or remove them.

The box will work fine with the old AC control unit in the car. It just will not be a 4 speed type, since the new blower only has 3 speeds. You might run into clearance issues with the side of the box and the heater core connections to the hoses. If this happens try to either squeeze it in or make a few small grinds to that lip on the box.

----EDIT----

Forgot to add if you're trying to install the 4 speed AC blower you'll need a little weatherstripping on it to act as a spacer. If you try to bolt it straight up to the non AC box it'll rub the wheel on the firewall. The bolt pattern is slightly different too, at least on mine compared to my non ac box.
