Does the bottom of the 305 water outlet (thermostat housing) have an o-ring? or is it completely flat??
Thanks.

I believe they just use a gasket- no o-ring in mine.

Cool...

When I got my car I had the generic Chevy water outlet on there... it's leaked, and I've fixed it a million times, but everything I've tried is just a temporary fix, it starts leaking again.

I have a 5.7L TBI engine in mine, and I wanted to get a more factory water outlet. My boyfriend picked up the one for the 5.7 GTA, however, the manifold is different, and the way the neck sits, I can't hook it up to the hose because it's hitting my throttlebody. So it looks like the neck points the opposite way on the water outlet for the 5l engines, but I don't want one with a stupid O ring, like I've had in the past...

Thanks for your help

They do use a flat gasket. Are you using some RTV sealer with it?
