Engine: 5.7 tbi

Can a y pipe?

Well i think that my y pipe can be tuching my oil pan. Can this be a reson my car could be running a little hotter? I just installed it about 4 days ago and started to see the change. -Eric

Axle/Gears: Ford 9" 3.60
That would effect oil temperature (if anything), not coolant.

If the equaling headers are new as well, try guessing alont the lines of heat emitted by the primaries is toasting the sensor.

Its on the head by the 1/3 spark plug

Car: 1984 ta slightly modified
Engine: 350
Transmission: auto 350 w/reverse valve body
Axle/Gears: 410 ratio
You may consider moving temp sensor into intake manifold if a provision is there near the t-stat housing.

I have a 84 ta w/350 auto and hedman tubular exhaust system and temp runs around 200 with a 190 t-stat. Y pipe is close to oil pan but not touching. When tightening collectors needed to hold down on y pipe to get some clearance from pan.
