cooling fans quit... please help
OK... my fans quit working recently... I have checked everything and found a toasted wire (rubbed through and burned)... I have no idea what the part is or what it actually does, but, On the main positive battery cable, there is one big gauge wire and then like a 10ga wire coming off the battery into what looks like a fusable link, and into a wide weather pack plug no more than 12" away from the battery itself. The wire that burned, makes a loop on one side of the weatherpack terminal (like a "U"). I need to know how/where to get that weatherpack connector with the lead wires on it.

I belive I know what you are talking about.
I put battery cables on my 89 RS, in the process, I had the bat out to get to the thingy, I took the small wire off and it broke. Took it to a parts store and they all looked at me like I was stupid.
So I called summit and described it to them. Belive it's called a power block or junction block. Got one from painless.
Mine came with two terminals, which I hooked the wires up to both thinking they connected and my car wouldn't start, so I had to put them on the same terminal.
If you hold on a minute I will send you a link to summit.

I have the top one, if you want a factory one, you will have to try someone like classic industries or hawks thridgen.
If you need fuseable links not sure where to get them, never had too.
Yours may also be a little different then mine was, I had one terminal, and the wires just slid over a stud, and a nut held them on.

God I love this place.
I'm doing some very extensive re-wiring, and that's just what I need.
Was trying to figure out how to fab one, but for less than a Jackson,
its not worth the time.
thanks,
kk
