Im having real bad overheating problems and my fan is not turning on at all even when the a/c is turned on. However, it comes on when I straight-wire it but I found that to be too risky after a while. I changed the thermostat, temp. sensor, new water pump, and nothing else is leaking. I dont have a fan switch option on this engine either (3.1 V6). Is my fan motor bad or what? And does anybody have any pictures of a manual fan toggle switch install (Very dumb when it comes to wiring diagrams)?

well, you could by-pass it all and just install an adjustable switch with it's own relay. it's talked about in the sticky section of this area. Search and see if this is what you need: "Zirgo ZFSWA" $24.95, plus a Permafrost fan relay harness ~$15.00, plus a 30 amo fan relay from local auto parts store ~$8.00. To the best of my knowledge the Zirgo offers the widest adjustable range.

You could just get a mechanical fan it puts more stress on your engine but it is ALWAYS on and you could just junk those electric fans very easy to install and there only 30 bucks. Good luck my friend

sounds like you've got a bad fan relay. it's prolly stuck.
but the down side to a regular fan is you lose up to 10, sometimes 15 HP depending on the setup and kind of fan. I know that from experience and a dyno run. I lost 8.6 HP on my 3.1L V6. so I switched back to my electric fan.

The relay is brand new. I think Im going to try the manual fan toggle switch method. Does anybody have pictures of this install/setup?

Those this is true, it would always be there and work, its not a good idea. First, it would add like 7-8lbs of rotational weight, which equals something like nearly 100lbs of dead weight, its the reason we have electric fans to begin with, and why we upgrade to lighter flywheels and drivershafts. a manual switch would be the best way to go.

I bought a Hayden unit from summit that is adjustable from 160-240 and is set up for dual fans and paid like $40 for it. I would still check the relay because even if its 2days to 2 years old it can still be bad. I have several flex fans that I would use in summer and ended up replacing them for electric. But I have a 18" flex fan and a spare aftermarket 10" electrical fan laying around and I have been playing around with the idea of switching the blades.
