Well I finally got my motor running and the Holley Dominator efi is tuning nicely, but today when I went to get the exhaust finished when I'm sitting at a light it starts to overheat. I do not have the TB coolant lines hooked up but I'm not sure if I bypassed it correctly. Could that be causing problems if it's hooked up wrong? I'm using a 180* thermostat, stock fans (which do come on) and the radiator is full. My timing at idle w/advance is 25*. Any suggestions on where to start to find my problem?

Did you make sure there weren't any air bubble's in the system? I had that same issue but with an Tbi firebird.

Do you get heat from the heater core? If not you may have an air lock caused by air trapped in the system or a flow problem caused by misrouted hoses. One trick I always use is to drill a 1/16 hole in the thermostat for air bleed, unless the thermostat already has an air bleed.

when its running squeeze the radiator hose for a while with rad cap off should push bubbles out

I know nothing about the Holley EFI system, but to me 25* sounds like way too much timing, and timing can greatly affect heat.

try to set the time to 8 or 10 see if still over heats i had the same proplem with my new
motor over heating when driveing a jot of things wrong with the tpi so i am takeing off
and puting a rockchester on it such have to figure out how to hook up the gas lines and the heater hoses
