2 or 3 row radiator
Im getting an aftermarket new radiator for my car and was wondering if I should go with a 2 or 3 row aluminum Champion radiator? Would there be any difference between a factory and an aftermarket 2 row? Is a 3 row too much? The car has about 450hp and the factory radiator is no longer enough. Which should I go with? Modifications in my signature.

Re: 2 or 3 row radiator
People are having trouble out of the champions or that is what I have heard. Two rows of 1 inch tubes are supposed to be the best. I have a be cool and would not use anything else except maybe an afco, fluidyne, howe or griffin.

I'm using a summit aluminium 1 inch tube 2 row direct fit (made by northern) and its more then enough to keep my engine cool.

Re: 2 or 3 row radiator
the champion radiators are having a problem with flow due to the fins not being even or able to flow. prolly 50/50. imho the same serves for a cheap replacement radiator from an auto parts. although i have a 100 dollar radiator from pepe boys and it has served me well. i would go to summit first.
AGAIN YOUR MODS WILL BE BASED ON YOUR BUDGET AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR OR AT THE TIME OF THE BEGINNING AND DURING YOUR!!!!!!!!!!!! BUILD. ALL UPGRADES ARE BASED ON YOUR!!!!!!! BUDGET.
in other words if you have the money for a becool rad buy it. if you do not then a lot of research and reading go into picking a little less expensive mod. or a regular budget which means to replace with the best auto parts type replacement.

Re: 2 or 3 row radiator
I read the sticky on the champion 3 row radiators, it sounds like more than 50% of the owners were happy with the radiators, only a few weren't. Some members did have trouble and posted some pics of crimped passages. If the seller offers a money back guarantee I would say go for it. I have had the cheap AutoZone radiator for 7 years and no cooling problems.
