Dual Fans

I'm having a problem with the dual fans not turning on the fuse was blown the one next to the battery now when I start the car the primary fan turns for a couple seconds then turns off the car will reach almost to overheating and none of the both fans turns on after I turn it off I think I hear the fan relay tick but not sure I tried some steps I read on other threads but I may be overlooking the problem open to suggestions

If you can, run the fan(s) with the relay disconnected and jumper the power terminals(use a 10 gauge wire) If the fans turn on and stay on it is either a relay or the ground switch/wire. If the fan runs but the wires get really hot it could be a fan motor going bad.

Re: Dual Fans

I tried doing something similar except I just hooked up both fans parallel with speaker wire while everything still conected and I think it was to much power and the wire began to get hot and kinda getting melted on the positive terminal it was a bad way to hook up the wires but they both ran

Try grounding the green/white wire from the relay directly. It is low voltage so you don't need a big wire. If the fan turns on then the relay and fan are fine, and your problem lies in the temp switch or temp switch connector or engine ground, assuming you have the same relays as me.
