88 ECM's 305 vs 350

I'm wondering if I can swap my ECM out of my 305 camaro into my 350 formula without damaging the ECM?

I'm trying to diagnose a problem but don't want to spend $150 on a ECM if it is not needed.

They are both identical drivetrain wise, asside from one being a 305 and the other a 350.

BTW:: I did a search for this question but none of the post answered the question.

as long as both ecm have the same part # you should be fine. just swap the eprom to make sure its using the same calibration.
