Deleting EGR from CCC QJET.

I've looked a while and can't find any solid information on what needs to be done exactly to get rid of the EGR function so i can use my performer RPM intake with-out getting the stumble @2kish RPM.

From what i gather my computer can not be modified. So what i can i do with this? I don't want to trash the CCC QJET system so that isn't an option.

Re: Deleting EGR from CCC QJET.

My problem was in the ignition system back when I posted this. Tune up FTW.

Still get the annoying SES coming on when on the highway even with the solenoid unhooked. Going to try a resister between the contacts on the harness when I start driving the car again.

If you switch to a 87 L69 ECM you can tune out the EGR I've read.

Not in Fbody trim but certainly Gbody.

IIRC the Gbody L69 was out until 88.

Re: Deleting EGR from CCC QJET.

They are dirt cheap on ebay and you get a better base ECM (timing!) if you have a 87 LG4. You should already have the sensor since in 86 GM started giving the LG4 the L69's sensors and compression.

Something tells me you figured this out?

FlippindaBird the ECM you want is number 1228079 just use that for your search on Ebay you will find a good amount of them.

Re: Deleting EGR from CCC QJET.

Once you have that ECM there is a BIN you can use that is the ZZ4 CCC ESC bin.

You can get it off of moates.net if you register, it's in the upload download area.

Even if you just keep the L69's BIN you are doing much better then the LG4. Since there is a hack for this ECM you can turn the EGR off.
