Quadrajet ECU upgrade worth it?
I have seen places where you can get a new chip to replace the factory one in the ecu on cars with quadrajet carbs.
Can this even be worth $165 or is it a waste of time and money? I have put in a crate motor and cam and all sort of other goodies (nothing drastic of course) but the only wired components on the engine are : Mixture control solenoid, tps, choke heater, knock sensor, oxygen sensor (not ever sure if it works, I have to check it) and the HEI distributer (stock).

I have a chip. It bumps up the timing and delays the TC lockup a few mph. I would just adjust your base timing and forget the chip. WOT is adjusted by the secondary hanger and rods.
