ECM for 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA 5.7 TPI
I am looking for an remanufactured ECM for my 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA 5.7 TPI.
Here ist the original one:
And here the remanufactured one:
Is the remanufactured one compatible with the original one? Service number is the same.

As long as the service number matches up, they are interchangeable. Be sure to swap the MEMCAL from your current ECM into the new one.
Note that at times the service number won't be the same, but are still interchangeable. Such as the 16198445, which is nothing more then a newer service number for the same '7165 ECM.
