Sanity check before 411 swap on 87 Iroc

Hey everyone,

I have been reading through a lot of documentation including the mega 411 swap thread and want to make sure I am not missing anything before I start tearing into the car. It belongs to a friend of mine and he has been wanting to do this swap for awhile and I have offered to help him with it. Car is an 87 Iroc with a rebuilt 350 (.030 over flat tops), with Edelbrock performer aluminum heads, Lingenfelter 74219 camshaft, and TPIS mini ram intake.

I have ordered the 24x swap kit from EFIConnection and picked up a set of LS coils and brackets.

I am going to build the engine harness myself but I have a few questions. On the ECU I am going to swap to the 12212156 OS since its widely supported. Since the SBC and LS have a different firing order do I just swap around the injector and coil pins for 4,3,7,2 in the correct order or can I change it easily in the software? I looked through tunerpro and didn't see an option for firing order. I believe I can do this with HPTuners but never actually tried it(I have access to both software suites and hardware to flash using either)

I believe for 87 the lockup in controller through the ECU. Is there an easy way to accomplish this with the 411 ECU or should I just do what they did in the past and use a pressure switch wired through 4th gear pressure switch?

Is there a VSS output on the 700-r4 that I can run into the 411 ECU (probably have to change the tooth counts) and then feed the factory speedo using the speedo output from the 411 ECU?

Just trying to get some ideas here before we start tearing it apart. Don't want to spend a couple hundred bucks on a lockup kit if I can make it work with the 411.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Shane
