New information on CARBED vehicles and WinALDL

New information on CARBED vehicles and WinALDL.

It has worked for some and others have not been able to get any data. I have now found out that some use different voltage levels on the ALDL port. They also have a differnt data timing.

With the help of another guy with access to both a TBI and a carbed vehicle we tried a modified cable interface. The carbed vehicle that did not work with the standard cable. It worked great with an additional 1.5k resistor between the base and emitter on the transistor. With this resistor installed the cable did NOT work with the TBI vehicle. The carbed vehicle also had to use the 4800 baud setting in the configuration dialog to work.
