Oil temperature sensor

Hey guys, quick quesiton.
I'm looking to add a oil temp sensor to my 91z with the 7730 ECM. Is there already an input on the ECU for this? I believe craig moates scanner has an output for it.

On more of a technical side, where would be the best location for an oil temp sensor?

Yep, it's there in the 8D code.
AUJP has the DTC turned off.
I didn't look very hard but it appeared to work.
Look on Ludis at the 7730 connector page to see where it goes. Some blocks have a little tapped hole above the oil filter. But it's about impossible to get the plug out.
If you have a remote oil filter setup or an actual oil cooler like the trucks you can put it in the cooler supply line.
Or weld a bung on your oil pan and punch a hole.

Engine: 3xx ci tubo
Transmission: 4L60E & 4L80E
You could also get a new oil drain bolt, drill it, and weld a sensor fitting onto it.
