Glenn, can I run a 2 bar MAP now?
Glenn or Bobalos or whoever knows, can I run a 2 bar MAP now, even though the ECM cant interpret the 2nd bar without it messing things up? Or will I have to BURN MY OWN PROM for this to work? LOL

There are editors for that, and you can recalibrate it for use on a v8.

As Grumpy said above, there is no 2 Bar compatible BIN for the SD 7730. You can "fudge it", but I don't recommend it.
To fudge it, you would play with the injector size to compensate that you are getting MAP values of 1/2 of what they really are; ie 100 MAP will register as 50. And this is where the biggest problem is. A MAP reading of 40 or less will register as 20, and thus you will have problems setting the idle and handling deceleration or low load situations. To make the SD 7730 eprom work properly would require extensive code changes in Assembly Language.
And last, but not least, your precision will decrease to half of what it is with a 1 BAR MAP.
If there is a BIN available that works with the SD 7730 that incorporate these kind of changes, it is not readily available and no one is offering or sharing it. You would be on your own to make the source code changes and have to dive into Assembly Language programming to make it work. This is beyond the typical DIY'er type changes.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. I was not sure if the range of the 2bar MAP was extended or if it used the same range and was halved compared to the 1 bar MAP for the same value. Now that I think about it it was an amatuer question. I will run it and debug on the single bar, then swap over to the 2 bar later when the turbo or new blower go on. By then Bobalos, Glenn, and other's should have more data on the SY/TY code running on the 730 ECM. Thanks again!
