I wish I could go cruise all the way up there, but got summer classes.
My condolences to all those who knew Bruce and his contributions will be missed. We all know how much gave to Fbody owners everywhere. I cannot attend in person but at least i know there will be one heck of a showing for Bruce to see up there in the sky. Rest in peace

Just thought I'd bring this back up to the top. Anybody that confirmed NOT going to make it? Sounds like we may have 8-10 people coming including some more local than others.

Have you set any type of agenda for Sat? I'm planning on driving down (from Detroit) on Saturday AM. It looks like there's about a 50/50 mix of people staying at the Holiday Inn vs. Comfort Inn. Where (and when) is everyone getting together? Is the conference room @ Holiday still the main "meeting place"??

The agenda is as organic as it was for the other PowWows.
"Run what you brung". Conference room will probably be the parking lot.

This is what I get for being away from the project, and this board so much! I should've been watching!
If you're taking maybe's, I'll sign up for one! I'm only a couple hours away and would be driving there and back that day, unfortunately, the Camaro is down with trans issues, so I'd just be absorbing info, as I have been on here for years! I'll find out for sure on the next couple days when it actually is that I committd to help my dad!
Wish I had gotten to one of these when Bruce was still with us. I still look back to posts by him for info, and inspiration!

If I'd have known it was a camshaft count, would have planned to bring the Catera!

I should be there early Fri afternoon(possibly earlier maybe later depending on about 10 things, but prolly earlier).
I'm bringing a trunk of camshafts, only to throw them at those who dont have ones located in the block :-P lol
I'll make a pow wow sign for the front desk with my cell on it or ask host/ess for number?
We need to fix the gathering place issue? lol breakfast room at comfort isnt used much after b-fast lol Laptops dont like sunlite
See u guys on fri.

What's with not having the conference room? Where will equipment be kept, notes be taken, etc? Going to leave laptops sitting in the parking lot all day?
Have you confirmed everyone on the list of attendees?

Between the Comfort Inn and holiday I'm sure we can work something out using the breakfast rooms or conference.
The breakfast area might actually be better since it would allow us more room than sitting on top of each other, especially with a larger turnout.
See what u can find out concrete dominic, check your pm for my phone

Hi, Guys.
You can remove me from the list of attendees. I was never really a contender once the date was changed. I guess that's what happens when you have limited time off and happen to pick the wrong week. My fault, really, for not procrastinating when I saw the original date was "settled." I'll be hanging around the house the week of July 15 - 21 if anyone feels like making a road trip to New Hampshire.

I talked to Dom today.
We can get the conference room for Sat for sure, we are gonna work it out when we get there. Gonna have to take a collection to pay for it though :-)
I should be in sometime early afternoon Friday at the Comfort Inn.
It is located literally across the street from the Holiday Inn.
I will ask if I can put a pow wow sign up(at the desk) the host/ess they could give u my cell number or something so everyone can eventually get in touch.

Well I finally managed to get time off-Wednesday night.......
So I'll be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it.
The TA's down with an electrical/ecm gremlin. It's in the driveway and rain had prevented trouble shooting it.
I suspect a bad memcal since I don't get an SES at all but the ecm has power at all feeds.

Well, guys you have made me subscribe to yet another message board. Jeff (ty1295) told me about this earlier in the week and I decided I HAD to be there no matter what else was going on today. I had been invited on other occasions and always felt I had nothing to offer, but must say after making the trip up I got to meet a great group of guys, learned a good deal, and am very glad to have been there. And now more than ever regret not making it to earlier meets....hopefully this tradition can be kept alive in years to come, and I would like to thank those that made this thing happen.

Folks,
It was VERY good to meet you all, this was a unique opportunity. I wish I could have come so much sooner. I'm typing this from the Comfort Inn parking lot, getting ready to head back now.
Y'all stay in touch, I hope everyone enjoyed the interactions as much as I did.
Best regards,
-Craig

I too had a great time. Meeting the folks that you once only knew by their TGO name puts a new perspective on who each person is behind the name. Very much enjoyable. On Sunday morning a group of us visited Bruce, I know he was smiling.

It was great meeting u all, especially the new guys who I only knew by screen names prior.
Its always good to meet people a few times a year who bang their heads against the wall as often and as hard as u do yourself trying to get past "good enough" and get "perfect".
I think Bruce would have liked it, knowing we were promoting the free exchange of knowledge and new ideas.

Had a good time meeting with all you guys and putting some faces with the screen names.
Love talking geek stuff and learning about what others are doing.
Got to play with Craig's new toy for scanning without a laptop. Looks real promising.
Didn't get a chance to test out any of the info I learned yet. Wentr right back into "work" mode upon returning home.
The trip home was just as exciting as getting there. My rear trans seal came out 3 times along the way because of DS vibration but was knocked back in easily enough. Lasted 1-1/2 hours each time and didn't loose much fluid till I'd jump on it to get above 80, and then the smoke cloud would appear
Was worth the drive and plan on attending again if at all possible.

Yep, I'm letting Mark take the lead on firmware development for the NanoScan. He's been enjoying it, and doing a damn fine job. That way, it can be more cohesive with ScannerPro and such.
For folks that weren't there, you can check out a glimpse here:
