Injector constant Value
I am tuning a custom MPFI system using a 730 ECM $8D and have a few questions.
- How is the constant injector flow rate used in the fuel map. For the same VE value, does changing the flow rate from 22# to 19# change the amount of fuel at the injectors?
- I notice that the stock AJUP bin has VE values in the low 90s. Aren't the injectors running static at these high values?

adjusting the injector constant will change fueling everywhere. ive heard and beleive that the correct way to do things, would be to input the constant at its true value, and do fueling adjustments in the VE table. Ive used the injector constant to get the average fueling to about 128 BLM if the whole fueling range is either too rich or too lean. its easier than changing the tables, but eventually i will set it true.
if you lower the injector constant, the ECM thinks they flow less (in reality the flow whatever they flow). Since it thinks they flow less, it will increase the pulse width. Now since they still flow the same in reality, but have a longer pulse width, LOWERING the constant will RICHEN

BTW, If you anyone is interested, this is what I am tuning. It runs real lean right now.

IIWY I would set all the constants as close as possible to what you really have. See how it runs...Datalog...then make changes to your fuel tables as necessary. If your Rich everywhere or even lean everywhere you can scale the whole table as necessary but keep your constants true. Thats my approach anyways.
