someone explain dual plane /injector firing
As I understand it each plug fire results in one of two injectors firing.
Here is the question. Please educate me.
Does a dual plane intake(mine) seperate the intake charge Left Bank/Right Bank as far as cylinders go? If so is the TBI injector firing in synch as to what cylinder needs the fuel? Seems it would provide more fuel to one side of the intake plenum that the other. Does it really matter?

Re: someone explain dual plane /injector firing
A dual plane intake is split between cylinder firings. Every other cylinder in order goes to the same plenum. With the other every other cylinder going to the opposite plenum.
1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2
1, 4, 6, 7 go to one side (plenum).
8, 3, 5, 2 go to the other side (plenum).
RBob.

Re: someone explain dual plane /injector firing
That was my understanding of the cylinder firing. Now i understand the orientation of plenum vs cylinder configueration. Thanks.
Lets say cylinder 8 fires. Does it matter if the Right or Left injector pulses as far as its orientation on what side of plenum it sits over? IOW is there a tuning consideration in that regard? Not sure if I am explaining my point correctly?
