Hey guys, bought my first third gen about 2 years ago, a '91 RS, it had seen better days but 2 summers ago all I did was read on these forums and work on the car and finally got it running good, thanks to all the guys in the TBI and general engine boards. Went from knowing nothing about SBC's to a whole lot
The L03 finally kicked it about a month ago, bearings were shot and it just couldn't take it anymore and shook itself to pieces
Luckily at the time I had just bought an early 70's 350 short block to rebuild, bought it from some race guy so it was in pretty good condition, bored 030 and the cylinders were perfect, L2256 forged pistons, good bottom end
Finally got it all together now with some rebuilt bowtie aluminum heads w/ 2.08/1.6 valves, 1.5 roller rockers, Comp 268 XFI roller cam, ported TPI base and plenum, headers, 3 inch exhaust. SCR should be around 10.5:1 with 0.041 Fel-Pro head gaskets, heads are 60cc, calculated DCR to be around 8.5:1
I just finished all the wiring (repinning the TBI harness to the 7730 ECM), and installed the NVSRAM module with S_AUJP_V4
I've got most of the constants set up right, adjusted injector constant for the 24# LT1 injectors I'm using, disabled EGR, AIR, VATS, changed the VSS to use the buffered output that the TBI cars have
I just need a few pointers on what I should do to the VE and SA tables to get this guy running right. I know the basics about adjusting the VE table to get BLM's at 128, and I know that the stock SA table is likely too extreme for such a high compression motor (I will be running 93 octane only), but other than that it's my first time tuning EFI, so any tips would be welcome
I've really been taking my time and doing all the research to get this right, and this is the last thing I need to do, and once again thanks for the wealth of information that this board has provided
Maybe if someone could just post what their spark advance table looks like for a high compression TPI motor that's all I really need, I can go from there
