Ok, I have been tuning for quite a few years but I feel like I just keep learning enough to show me how much I don't yet know. So please bear with me. I have been searching and reading a lot. I'm not looking for a hand out but I would like some comments on my plan and I have a couple questions about IC changes.

I have been tuning this most current combo for about 2 months and 100's of bins. I thought I was pretty close but strange things seemed to happen. My most recent revelation was regarding O2 threshold due to my A.I.R. delete. During divert/non-devert it was changing the O2 TH and I was chasing that around and making inapproiate changes.

Anyway, so I realized that I need to make a fresh start. I am currently using the APYP WB bin since I have a 5-speed and Wide Band. I believe I have gone in and made all the hard changes such as AIR, EGR, MT etc. This time I started with a fresh bin and am attempting to make only changes indicated rather than a bunch if "trick" stuff cause I'm so darn smart. Previously, it seemed to respond well to <14.7 AFR at idle and PT cruise so my end goal is to run CL but target slightly richer afr. For this reason I left the CL rich/lean threshold vs airflow a little high @ 539 on the high end and up to 575 at the low end (idle). The -.100mv when divert has been "0"ed out. I expect this will help to slightly raise the target afr in CL.

On startup it was quite lean at idle but once CL took over it is very drivable. I was surprised about how much timing it runs at almost every level. I did have some KR and have only reduced the highest SA levels down a few degrees and smoothed it out a bit as well as evening the SA around idle. It's still a little tough to keep from making changes by what I "feel" is needed.

I have left everything else like it was. I am lean all around (blms 140-155) so this time my approach is to tweek the IC a little to get the blms close then go to the maf tables/scalars. Last time I had justified making big changes to the scalars because I have descreened and definned the maf. I am second guessing this approach and hope to only tweek the tables.

One result I am bewildered about is regarding the IC changes. I have the stock injectors which have a factory IC of 22.36. So, to make it richer I lowered the IC to 21.5. To my surprise the blms went up! This seems oppposite to what I expected. Wouldn't making the IC lower enrichen the mix and therefore lower the blm? Does an IC change impact something else such as the maf reading or LV8 somehow?

Any comments and suggestions about my approach and clarifications on what impact IC changes should have will be appreciated.

I had to make much greater changes to the o2 volt thresholds then what you posted to get where I wanted to be on mixture, would encourage further adjustment if you need richer.

Thanks. Looking into that part of it soon. However, it does seem to be having a slight effect so far. After everything settles out the WB shows 14.4 in some spots.

I need to correct my preivous post. Changing the IC did not raise the blms afterall. It seems I was making such a small change and my datalog was too short to show the full effect. I changed it a little more and did a longer log and the blms are coming down. I have only changed them to 21 now and am getting close enough to move on the the tables.
