Rear Defrost doesn't work...
My rear hatch defrost will not work.
Here's the deal:
When i press the rear defrost switch, the indicator light does not go on and the rear defrost does not work.
I was thinking bad switch or fuse, but last time i tried taking the switch out, it wouldn't come out all the way and since then when i turn the car's electronics on the battery ticks for a little while but then stops after 30 seconds to a minute.
My questions....
How do I get that damn lighter/rear defrost panel off?
Which fuse is it for the defrost if anyone knows?
What's up with my battery ticking? Disconnected Ground on something?
Why does the battery stop doing that after a few seconds?
Any help would be cool. Thanks.

There are five wires going to your rear defrost switch. one from the gauges fuse, one from the accesories fuse, one from the gauge lighting, a ground, and one to the rear defrost. Try to see if there is power coming from the gauges fuse., I think this is a thin read wire with a black stripe. Then try the accessory fuse wire, this is a big orange one. The switch actually works as a relay. The power from the gauges fuse is used to close the relay, which connects the accesory power to the rear defrost. The wire going to the rear defrost is purple. If the switch is getting power from the oragne and thin red/black wire, press the button and see if the power is being transfered into the purple wire. The purple wire has a grey connector behind the driver side kick panel. You can diconnect the wire there to check for power.
