Rewiring fog lights?

I hate the fact that I can't light my factory fog lights on my 91 bird without the headlamps popping up. Has anyone rewired them to light without activating the headlamps? If so, how did you go about doing it and how hard was it? I'm pretty mechanically inclined so some work doesn't scare me. Any info would help.

They should work with just the parking lights on.

Thanks for the imput guys but I already knew that the fog lights would work with the parking lights on, but the headlamps still pop up even though the lamps aren't lit, and that is exactly what I don't want. I want to be able to run my fog lights with my headlights comepletely down.
