climate control
ok, been having a problem with this for some time, i did a search on here, but for some reason i always get sent to a 'page not found' error, not sure if it's this computer (i'm on a library computer) or if it's something wrong with the site. anyways, my problem is this...
my climate control low-to-high control **** was stripped out and not working, therefore i was unable to adjust the level of ac/heat and what not, i took the **** off and tried to turn the metal rod with pliers and it wouldn't move in the slightest. i then decided the switch was bad and on ebay bought a nice clean working climate control unit, the entire thing, for like $10. i installed it and was a bit dismayed upon finding the new climate control unit i recently bought was missing like 2 or so vaccum tube connections that my older climate control unit had. my old climate control unit had 2 sets of vac hose plugs, a big one and a smaller plug with like 2 hoses connected to it that pluged on top of the climate control unit to the side, the bigger vac tube plug plugged in behind the unit. anyone know what the second smaller set of vac tubes does/is used for? also, i connected everything up, including that whip like cable to the blower motor? just like the old one was connected and connected all the wires as before and turned it on and to much sadness, still no fan control it seems when i adjust from low-to-high ****... is the blower fan shot to **** or something? and if so, how much do one of these cost and would not having that second set of vac hoses connected cause any problems and if so, could i just stop them up with something and would this fix that/those possible problem(s)? my car is a 91 camaro rs, 305tbi, the ebay climate control part is from a slightly older camaro, not sure the specific year. it's getting hot and humid as hell here in florida and not having a/c for another summer is gonna kill me, haha. any help would be great. thanks a lot in advance.

First, I would probably get the correct climate control unit. Then start trouble shooting. Could be a bad blower, test for power at the blower motor when it should be running.
