For you electronics Guru's; Got a Gremlin!!!!

Ok, I was working on the GTA installing the fittings for the oil supply for the turbos, so I removed the ignition completely, disconected the two wire plugs that attach on the base and installed the fittings. After I finished to install the fittings I took the ignition to install it and realize that I did'nt mark the position of the rotor, "no big deal" I said, "I'll just install everything and get the engine into the correct timming position". So I installed the ignition and plug back the two wires, crank the engine a few times to get the engine into #1 firing position and hooked the timming light and voila! The engine was running again perfectly.

You guys are begining to ask yourselfs where is the problem, well the problem is that once you start the engine on it wont turn off, that's right! it wont turn off once you have started it. I notice that the ignition key switch inside the car is working because all the gauges will turn off once I pull out the key, so it may not be the ignition switch, but the engine will keep on running flawlessly, I even drive the car like that! I also noticed that if I turn off the ignition switch and then turn off the fuel supply the engine will obviously will turn off, but it seems like it turns off just before the fuel starvation, like it just needs the rpm's to lower a little so that it will get the signal from the key swicth or something. I really dont know and need help, so please if someone has an idea is very welcome.
Thank's guys and gals
Edgardo

It sounds like you are backfeeding your ignition. Check your wiring again, I don't know for sure, but you may have swapped out a couple of wires.

back feeding?

What do you mean by back feeding. The wire plugs are OK and the two connectors on the distributor module can't be wrong or swaped. Please correct me if I missunderstood.
Thank's

Backfeeding is when your module is picking up enough of a stray voltage from another source to enable ignition. If you had not done any rewiring and simply unplugged and reconnected your module, I would look to a bad ground. If any grounds had been disconnected, clean them up and reconnect. As little as 1 ohm resistance to ground can do screwy things to semiconductors.
