Autometer gauge question

I just bought an A-Piller cluster and three guages...two of them work great and light up and everything....I cant get my a/f ratio to work tho...ive triple checked my wiring to the point where i went to bed and woke up and tried again today...nothing....i have a good ground and also have a good power. Ive been having trouble trying to follow the o2 sensor wire tho. Hanes manual says its purple and i did confirm that by looking at it after the wire connector....it goes into the big harness and into the car. Ive tried all the purple wires going to the left and right through that harness which goes into the car. Everytime i turn the car on i get nothing. No leds light up...nothing.

My first question is....can you test to see if the gauge works?
Second is...will it show any lights even if its not hooked up to the signal wire?
Third is...HOW THE **** HAVE YOU ALL FOUND AND TAPPED INTO THE SIGNAL WIRE!!!!!...i cant find this stupid wire!

EDIT: The car has also randomly been throwing a 43 code? which is a ESC(electronic spark control module)...My mechanic put in a new ECM not to long ago cause the last one failed...so i know its not that(book lists that as a possible cause)....could this code be "shutting off" communication with the o2 sensor causing me to not get any reading?

Re: Autometer gauge question

Who ever is the mod for this section you can delete this post....i well umm....fixed my problem...and found out why im having the code........i ASSUMED that i had a good ground cause i used the same ground for the other two gauges and there lights came on....well tried a ground in the engine bay and BAM it worked....now its all set up and working just fine....as for the code after reading in my book i found out that the reason the code is showing is cause of a broken sensor...which i just remember i had broke when working on the starter(thought at the time...f***in-a i wonder what that thing is for....now i know what it was...it was a knock sensor)

Either way everything is going good...guages look great....you would never know it wasnt stock....looks great works great...time to delete this useless post tho.....sry for the jump to "thread help" as i call it
