Missing wiring and the like - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I am working on an 84 firebird that started out as a 4 cylinder car but has been changed to an 305 v8. No computer and the car will be have a carb. My issue is that the wiring under the hood is all ripped out. Not sure where anything goes. I need to re hook up the gauges, lights, etc, etc. I'd like to just do all new wiring instead of using the balled up mess of wires that are laying in the trunk. I have a Haynes but there isn't really much Illustration in it showing what goes where. And the Wiring Diagrams aren't that great either. So does anyone know of an electronic file that could help or a book or anything? I can do mechanical stuff well, but wiring is more difficult for me.

Does anyone know where to get a wiring harness set like you would find at painless for a decent price? One designed for these cars of course..
