Car: 86 transam,700r4,4 wheel disc,possi
Engine: 305 tpi/stock for now
Axle/Gears: not sure
Maf sensor
I think i fgured out why my engine light is staying on, i was looking at my relay bank lastnight and noticed, that my maf relay has no wires going to it!!! and that i couldnt find a plug. it looks to me like they by-passed it and hooked wires into the harness
im gonna test maf tonight to see if its getting power, why does the car still run and drive so go without the maf?

Mop Up The Maf Mess
When the ECM gets no MAF input it merely uses a medium setting, AKA “default”.

whats funny tho is when i scan it, it shows no codes just code 12 which is no stored codes, any ideas?

Code Buster
Due to the fact they bypassed it probably has something to do with it.
They might have put a load across the terminals at the ECM to keep unnecessary codes out.
