no rear blinkers?
hey guys, I havent been here in awhile...and have been messing with the car in like for ever!
but i got a problem and have forgotten what to look for since its been awhile.
all the lights work in the rear except for my rear blinkers....backups, brake lights, license lights everything....and when i use the turn lever the light on the dash just stays lite but if i manually do it the fronts blink but the rears dont do anything.
im pretty sure the blubs are good....so what is it i have to look at or for?
thanks
i know these cars are not like 4th gens when a blub goes out nothing works on which eve side is out...i think...LOL

No Blink I Think
Do the rear hazard lights work?
If the answer is YES, you have an internal problem with the turn signal switch.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.
How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain

Re: no rear blinkers?
yeah i just went out there and checked. ...with the key off/on and hazzards on I have front blinkers but no rears.
the most recent stuff i have done was took my tail lights off to have them tinted and put them back on....also i removed the power seats out of the car and put in a pair on manual seats. so the plug under the seat is just laying there...
any of these?

OK, due to the fact the hazard switch also fails to light ‘em up, press the brake pedal and make sure the brake lights work even tho they’re different bulbs it still tells me something.
If the brake lights work, use a meter or test light to see
if you’re getting power on pin M (YELLOW wire) of the steering column connector.

Re: no rear blinkers?
Yeah the rear brake lamps work fine....when I do the turn signal lever up and down manually the front blinkers work....every light works except for the rear turns....is there a fuse I should look for?
I can't see both bulbs going out...I'm pretty sure I checked all the bulbs in the rear before I buttoned it all up cause I had to replace both brake bulbs

Yeah I have brake lights when I use the pedal. Is there a fuse or something I can look for? I checked the turn fuse and its fine.

Re: no rear blinkers?
My turn signals were doing the same thing the yellow wire on the steering column had come loose. Mine was a super easy fix. Nina sounds like their on the right track

Re: no rear blinkers?
where is the yellow wire located? is it easy to get to? got a picture?
one other thing i noticed is that my 3rd brake light isnt working either and i checked the bulbs on that too...and all is well.
this is BS!>..why would this all of a sudden happen? and no its not the stock turn signal lever.....i had that replaced years ago.

Blinking Brakers
The YELLOW wire is located on the connector near the steering column.
Remove the knee bolster to gain access.
Re extraneous brake light.
There is a separate switch for the nonsensical thing.
Use a meter or test light to probe between ground and the BLUE/BLACK wire at behind the brake pedal.
