Code 36 question

Would a bad MAF burn off relay cause the car to lose power and run bad? All I get is a code 36, nothing else (aside from code 12). It appens after I start the car and drive it for about 20 minutes, the engine surges and then it loses all power and sometimes dies. Any help would be great!

Re: Code 36 question

It could be possible. I know when I was getting a code 36, the car ran like crap, and was down on power. I think it's because when code 36 is present, the ECM uses defaults for fuel/spark, which isn't optimal. Also, I replaced my MAF burnoff and power relays, and the code has not come back.
